Assistant Public Affairs councelor Ryan Koch and Ambassador Barzun welcoming guests to the Linköping Embassy in a box.

We had a great day in Linköping during the Embassy’s third stop on the Road Show on March 29. Ambassador Barzun and Governor Elisabeth Nilsson kicked off the Road Show serving pancakes to visitors, commuters, students and all those who passed by our venue, the Art Gallery Passagen.  We welcomed over 100 students to the Embassy in a Box to share the American experience and to attend seminars on Studying and Working in the U.S. Throughout the day, the Foreign Commercial Service hosted seminars on Doing Business in or with the U.S. and held one-on-one consultations. The Embassy’s Consul offered a range of counselor services.

The theme of the day was “Entrepreneurship and Innovation.” Ambassador Barzun traveled to Linköping University to attend the Clean Tech Association’s annual lunch and toured the Concept Reality Lab, home of the University’s two 3-D printers. He led an engaging question and answer session with students from the University’s Foreign Policy Association. Back at the Embassy in a Box, we hosted an Open Forum where we learned from each other’s innovation experiences.
