Sundsvall 9/29/2011
On the Embassy’s sixth stop on the Road Show on September 29, we visited Sundsvall. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. William Stewart and Sundsvall's Mayor Rodney Engström opened the Mobile Embassy, after which the public was invited to visit and consult with staff from several Embassy sections on anything from visas and ESTA, to studying in, or importing products from, the United States.

Gävle 5/23/2011
Gävle was the fifth stop on the Embassy's Road Show. The Ambassador kicked off the day with site visits to Mackmyra’s whisky distillery and Gevalia. Throughout a busy day, there were seminars on American culture, Studying in the U.S. and on doing business with the U.S. The Ambassador also held a Q&A at the university, live-streamed.

Örebro 5/5/2011
The 4th Embassy Road Show at Örebro Castle was a success! Throughout the day, invited students came to the Embassy-in-a-box for seminars on “Studying and Working in the U.S.” The steady stream of visitors continued all day for consular assistance, meetings with the Commercial Section, and to attend a seminar on “How to Locate U.S. Suppliers”.

Linköping 3/29/2011
We had a great day in Linköping during the Embassy’s 3rd stop on the Road Show on March 29. Over 100 students came to the Embassy in a Box to share the American experience and to attend seminars on studying in the U.S. Ambassador Barzun attended several different events at Linköping University, before rounding up the day with an open forum.

Busy day in Växjö - flipping pancakes for hungry 8th-graders, answering questions at the Linneaus University, hosting the first-ever s.a.g.a. stund, all the while many visitor took the opportunity to sit down with the Consul and the Foreign Commercial Service.

Umeå 11/18/2010
The U.S. Embassy had a full day of activities in Umeå, the largest city and leading university town in northern Sweden. Bringing representatives from several core sections, the visit was the first stop of the U.S. Embassy's Road Show.
