Nordic Cool

On February 15, 2013, U.S. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski and Mrs. Natalia Brzezinski hosted a launch reception for 220 guests in honor of the Swedish delegation participating in the “Nordic Cool 2013” cultural festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  Nordic Cool is a month-long cultural festival that will promote the arts, design and diversity of Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region.   Swedish Minister for Culture and Sports, Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth, attended the event and in her remarks emphasized how the Kennedy Center’s festival will foster an appreciation of the Nordic heritage and an understanding of the region's emerging global influence.
