    Last week, Ambassador Brzezinski was in Washington for the Chief of Mission conference where US ambassadors from all over the world came to Washington to listen to Secretary Clinton and other USG leaders identify priorities and discuss the challenges all posts are facing.

    Invited by the Lidingö mayor, Ambassador Brzezinski visted the Käppala water treatment plant, which is one of the world’s cleanest facilities of its kind.

    On March 2, 2012, the exhibition, Generation @a.r.t.: Ascendant. Revolutionary. Timeless. was opened, exhibiting 12 hand-selected young emerging Swedish artists at the Ambassador’s Residence.

    Ambassador and U.S. Embassy LIKE Facebook cooperation with Lulea

    On February 2, Ambassador Brzezinski was pleased to be invited by Norrbotten Landshövding Per-Ola Eriksson and Luleå kommunalråd Karl Petersen to visit the new Facebook Data Center under construction in Luleå. This will be Facebook’s first data center outside the United States.

    On the visit, the Ambassador was shown the Next Generation Gripen fighter demonstrator, and was briefed on the extensive partnerships between Saab and a host of U.S. companies, and on the significant content of U.S. systems and components in the Gripen fighter.
