On October 8, the U.S. Mobile Embassy opened for two days in Helsingborg. Ambassador Mark Brzezinski opened the embassy together with host Mayor of Helsingborg Carin Wredström.
During the two days about two hundred people came to hear the Ambassador and other Embassy staff talk about current issues, studying and visiting the U.S.
The Ambassador met with local businesses, politicians and American citizens. The Ambassador also spoke with a group of young entrepreneurs eager to present their ideas and products.
On October 10, the Ambassador opened the Mobile Embassy at Lund University along with Vice Chancellor Per Eriksson. The Ambassador, together with Energy and Environment Specialist Marcus Hansson, later spoke before more than 300 students about U.S. environmental policies and the next four years for the Obama Administration.
