DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa Application
Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application and the DS-261 (Choice of Address and Agent) will replace the paper-based DS-230 Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II) and the DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent).
Prior to the interview appointment, each applicant (including children) must complete a DS-260 form, which can be accessed at http://ceac.state.gov/iv/. This does not apply to Diversity Visa (green card lottery) and K-1 visa applicants (fiancé(e) of a U.S. Citizen)
NOTE: All questions on the DS-260 form must be answered in detail, including complete employment and education histories, and U.S. sponsor contact information. Failure to complete the form in full may result in delays in processing the visa application. If an applicant has been assisted by someone else in completing their application, the applicant must thoroughly review the answers they provide on their behalf for every question, as the applicant will be held legally responsible for those answers.
